ACTOR New User Registration
ACTOR Administration
The Administration module allows for the creation and management of databases, organizations and user administration for each of the enabled system modules.
The System Administrator allocates
User IDs and initial Passwords during set-up and user registration. Users
may then change their own passwords as required.
New User Registration
Once you have been successfully logged-in to ACTOR, there are 2 ways in which the menu items for the Administration module can be accessed.
- Select the Administration module on the index page and the menu items will be displayed.
2. Select the settings icon on the top right corner of the Index page as illustrated.
- Select User Administration using either one of the 2 methods illustrated above.
- Select the New Users tab.
Create the new user profile by capturing the new user details:
- Email address
- Password- The user can change the password in the password reset screen. Read more on password reset by clicking here.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Select Create Account and the new user's profile is now active.
Adding Users to Organizations
Now that the new user has been added, assign the user to an organization
Scroll to the organizations section of the form
Select the organization you wish to add the user to from the dropdown menu
- Click the Add User to organization button and the user will be added to the organization.
Select Send Password and the password will be sent to the email address of the user which they will use for first time log-in after which they can change if they so wish.
Updating existing user details
- Select the user you wish to update from the grid.
- Select the Edit button.
- Update the user details.
- To remove a user from an organization, navigate to the organizations section of the form
- Select the organization you wish to remove the user from
- Click Remove User from Organization
- Click Done and the user details will be updated.
Deleting an Existing User
- Select the user you wish to delete from the grid. The selected row will be highlighted in grey.
- Select the Delete User button.
- The user will be asked to confirm if the the Delete action. Click Delete if you wish to continue and the user will be removed from the grid. If the action is a mistake click Cancel. This action is not limited
Creating a new Role
Access to ACTOR is role based and certain permissions are assigned to each role depending on organizational requirements. Multiple roles may be assigned to a user if necessary.
- Select the Roles button
- Capture the Role name
- Capture the Description
- Select the Save button
Deleting User Roles
- Select the Roles Button
- Select the Role you wish to Delete from the grid
- Select the Delete button and the role will be removed from the grid as illustrated below
Assigning Users to a Role
- Select the User you wish to assign roles to from the grid
- Click the Edit User button
- Use the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window
- Select the role you wish to add the user to from the dropdown menu as illustrated
- Click the Add User To Role button and the role will be assigned the role. Further roles may be assigned to the same user in the same way.
Removing a User from a Role
- Select the User you wish to Remove the role from in the grid
- Select the Edit button
- Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window
- Select the role you wish to remove the user from using the dropdown menu
- Select the Remove User from Role button
- Click Done and the user will be removed from the role
How to view Roles assigned to a user
- Select the User from the main grid
- Click on the number box in the Roles column
- A pop-up window will appear with the list of all the Roles that the user is assigned to.
- At this level, the role can also be deleted by selecting it.
- The Delete button will be activated for the user to delete and the role will be removed.
- Click the close button to exit the pop-up.
How to view organizations assigned to a user
- Select the user from the main grid
- Click on the number box in the organizations column
- A pop-up window will appear with the list of all the organizations that the user is assigned to.
- Click on the close button to exit the pop-up.
