How to add RCM Safety Integrity Level Base file
Safety Integrity Level
Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is defined as a relative level of risk-reduction provided by safety integrity of a safety function, or to specify a target level of risk reduction. This helps the user to identify critical Failure Modes and availability requirements.Adding new Safety Integrity Level
- Select the Safety Integrity Level tab.
- Select the "Add" button.
- Capture the "Safety Integrity Level" (SIL).
- Capture the "Description".
- Click "Save" to clear the pop-up.
Editing and Deleting existing Safety Integrity Levels
- Select the "Safety Integrity Level" SIL record that you wish to update. The row will be highlighted grey to indicate its selection.
- Click the "Edit" or "Delete" button.
- If "Delete" is selected, a pop-up window will appear requesting the user to confirm the deletion. Click delete to continue and the record will be removed from the grid. If this action was a mistake, then click cancel.
- If the "Edit" button is selected, update the SIL details.
- Click "Save".
