Asset Management Data (AMD) Module
The AMD module is a centralized platform for the asset hierarchy and asset parts that are used across all ACTOR modules. Users can import an existing asset structure into ACTOR or they can set up their own directly in ACTOR.
Available functionality in AMD:
- AMD Dashboards
The AMD dashboard allows you to track all the organizational Assets, Location Types, Equipment data and Parts data stored in a database in graphical format.
- Equipment Data- Describes equipment specifications, attributes and interrelationships.

- Location Structure- The Location Tree gives a hierarchical branching tree
representation of the functional analysis by location, system, or asset. This article uses the terms Location Tree and Tree interchangeably. Click here to read the full article on how to add a location in AMD.

Template Library
The Template Library is a central location to store standard analyses that can be used by other analyses as templates when starting an analysis.
- To access the Template Library, select View Templates from the ACTOR Index page.
- There are two types of templates, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) templates and Asset Condition Evaluation System (ACES) templates.
- The ACES templates are standardized per asset class or asset type and Aladon has made them commercially available for users to purchase and use.
- The RCM templates are created or applied in the RCM Module and can be accessed from the template library. To read the full article on how to create and apply templates click here.
- Scroll through the list of templates or search the library to find templates. Users can search based on key parameters such as asset type, description, name etc.
- Users can "View" templates across the template library.
- Users can also import their own templates into the template library.
- The templates are designed to keep a record of the revision history so users can keep track of the latest changes to the templates. Users can choose to apply the changes in every analysis where the template has also been applied.
The Project Management Module
The Project Management module is a centralized platform for the overall management of analysis projects throughout their analysis workflow. In every new analysis, the facilitator will capture planning details which are registered in the project management module. The facilitator may then use these details to effectively develop project plans and facilitate resource management.
